...about two years ago it broke. In an attempt to fix it we spend a non-refundable $50 on an electric part that the gas guy said fixes these things %80 of the time. It didn't work (frustrating). When we looked into having a professional take a look we were surprised at how expensive oven repair can be. We didn't like where the oven was located anyways and thought it a little bit silly to repair such and old (and kinda crummy) oven. SO we began to dream of a kitchen remodel. In case you are wondering...yes I have been cooking, hosting, baking, and operating with NO oven for 2 years! Luckily we had made a return at Costco around that same time and I picked up a handy dandy Cuisinart convection toaster oven for my baking needs. But the day has come and the demo date is set. Our new cabinets are being hand crafted as we speak. So I thought I would take some "before" pics so you can journey with me through this big project.
The best part is that while our kitchen is being ripped out we will be laying on a beach in Hawaii!! I should be packing (both my suitcase and our kitchen) instead of blogging ;) An opportunity came up to stay with both my sister and some friends on the big island and we leaped on this opportunity and booked our flights only a couple weeks ago. So ALOHA!
