S is now 14 months old. I used to keep track of her hi's, low's and latest achievements on a baby's first year calendar. But now we are finished with that and the calendar is full. And yet things are just getting good! She is funnier, sassier and more adventurous then ever and I am trying to figure out how to record the everyday "gems"of sharing life with her. I have considered a journal that I keep by my nightstand and update before bed. But for now I am sharing them here.
What S is up to this month:
new words:
uh-oh, backwards (sounds like "backback"), bath (always "bathbath"...twice the fun I guess), more, shoes ("esshes"), swing ("eash"). I guess the "S" sound is pretty tough for her.
likes:
videos! (of kids singing, she points to the tv and gets a big smile on her face and starts grooving while imitating the musical kids from the video...uh oh!),
walking around outside,
swings,
howling like like wolf or getting others to howl,
books,
dogs,
food.
dislikes:
some men (she starts crying..I thought we were past this stage?),
getting her diaper changed or dressed (she becomes a maniac!),
learning to:
run,
use a spoon herself,
use a spoon herself,
embrace going to sleep (she just starting pointing to her crib and then she happily curls up right after we lay her down ...can I get an AMEN?).
monthly milestones:
first haircut
7th tooth (bottom 3rd)

I especially like the howling like a wolf :). It was great to see you all last week! I was amazed how much personality Sydney has now!
