I am sure having snow in November is festive but I love this warm weather. I think California is finally getting its long awaited summer. I snapped these pics while I waited for a friend to go on a walk.
Lane Farms in Santa Barbara is always a good place to go for some festive fun. Nothing like dressing up your baby so you can take goofy pictures like these. Hey Sydney was pretty darn cute in her duck costume...even some older lady I didn't know was snapping photos of her!
Sydney's friends must have all gotten together and decided on the "farm" theme for this years costumes (my suspicion is that it was Jane's idea). The gang is all here: Ladybug (Ivy), Duck (Sydney) , Cow (Molly) and last but not least Cow-girl (Jane)! This was all a surprise to us moms. How funny!
The weekend before Halloween a couple friends and I ventured north for the day to Avila Barn. While we went apple picking Sydney dozed a little bit in her carrier.
Here I am trying to get her to smile for the camera...
It has been another great summer/fall enjoying our weekly assortment of veggies and fruits from Fairview Gardens community supported agriculture program! Sydney enjoys it too as she discovers a carrot is an excellent teether.
I had to take a picture of our picture perfect produce!
Sydney has been rolling over (both directions) for weeks now but has been very camera shy about it. But yesterday our friend Christy was successful with her iphone in capturing her new moves. Check them out!
So ever since my mom sent me a collection of baby/childhood photos of myself I have been showing everyone this particular one. In the photo I am 4 months old and being held by my sister Terri. Most people admit the striking resemblance between me (as a baby) and Sydney. So judge for yourself! Ama (James's mom) calls Sydney "mini-you" when talking to me about our girl...
Deciding to take this whole thing to the next level I have posted snapshots from a recent video of Sydney. The person holding Sydney is Lauren, Terri's daughter and my niece. So now you can compare BOTH sets of mother daughter photos.
Well, perhaps this photo I just found of my brother in law Steve, niece Hailee and Sydney shows more of a likeness. Which makes sense because Sydney is actually 4 months here too.
Aunt Lauren and uncle Troy came for a visit this weekend and they has lots of fun playing with Sydney. Here they are playing the crashing giraffe game...apparently one of her favorites!
We decided to try rice cereal awhile back and Sydney wasn't very impressed to say the least!!
(Apparently it requires moving this file to another program in order to rotate it...and I didn't have time to mess with it...note to self don't take videos vertically any more!)
Ama has been saying for weeks that Sydney needs her own pair of shades. So when we vacationed with them last weekend in San Clemente Sydney got these beauties.
