Q. Why is Syd in a box?
A. Because she would rather be there (or on the stairs or playing with her cousins toys or running around) than opening presents. Sad but true.
The presents arrive via "the bob"
The first present that she actually likes....mittens!
After dinner on Christmas day her cousins take another stab at getting S to open her presents. It takes a lot of coaching and patience on behalf of Mary Rose.
But finally we have success and legos, books and refrigerator magnets in the shape of letters! Yay! Sydney finally shows some enthusiasm for her gifts:)
Or at least interest......
In hindsight this might have been the reason why she was not too excited to open wrapped packages. (Watch Sydney open her first Christmas present).
That's right folks! All that enthusiasm she exhibited was wasted on underwear.
Note to self: when teaching a child the art of present opening start with a gift that is fun, preferably a toy!
One thing that this girl did LOVE about Christmas was all the lights. We spent hours walking around our neighborhood as a family looking at the pretty lights with her. And she always wore us out.
