S has discovered a marvelous thing. Smoothies. We make them at home and occasionally we order them out. On an outing to the mall one afternoon I ordered a small "Blenders" just for our girl. She was happy as a clam drinking from her styrofoam drink cup complete with plastic lid and straw. Feeling rather smug that I had my daughter happily occupied in her stroller for so long I leisurely perused the shoe department at Macys.
When I finally did sneak a peak at my shopping buddy I realized why she was soo quiet. She had squeezed the soft cup so hard that all four fingers went through the cup leaving a large gaping whole in the side of her drink. Here is the result.

These are the moments that you just have to laugh...especially when a friend is there to share the experience with. I mean I am sure every mom can appreciate this right??? I head out the door immediately and strip her down to her diaper and do a head to toe sweep with wet wipes (Thank God for wet wipes...I could write an entire blog post dedicated to those babies alone!)
Back into Macys we go on our way to the car for a spare outfit. She looks a little uncomfortable shopping in the buff, don't you think?
Oh, wait...our spare outfit is size 9 months! Time to update that (now that she wears 18 months).
Lucky for us Gymboree was having a summer sale so for $9.99 check out her new outfit.
Even more lucky for me was that Oxy Clean and boiling hot water (weird, huh?) removed every last spot from her shirt. Stacy gave me the heads up and the next we go to Blenders we will be asking for them to "double cup it, please".
i LOVE the pic of syd in the stroller. so hilarious and adorable at the same time.
